Here's a 3D printed Lotus 33-inspired car I make. The unibody design (no chassis) allows for an ultra narrow body that is perhaps the first proportionately correct one built in this scale range. The motor and mechanical bits fit directly into the body.
My old Tyco S car, looks like the Good Year blimp by comparison.
The video shows how it goes together, except for the fitting of the pickup braids (or wipers that some prefer):
And some pics of how they look when they are built - these examples are done by Mr. Dave Wonacot. He buys the printed bodies from me and sells them as RTR collector cars.

Here's a few videos of them in action, video courtesy of Mr. Larry Weaver and his awesome "Watkins Glenn" track.

Here's a video clip of the Loti "Ghost" car as built by Dave Wonacott turning some laps on my track. Running at intermediate setting on the AFX Tri-Power pack. Dave builds his with N52 neo magnets. At this power setting, my Crew Chief was pretty much able to drive it full throttle through most of the turns.
