Here are some photos of the SCX Ford Escort RS Cosworth with which the Spanish duo José María Ponce and Gaspar León won the Rally Internacional de Maspalomas on the Canary Islands in 1993. The striking colour combination of yellow and green makes the Escort an attractive sight.
Inside a FR42 motor only drives the rear wheels.
It is always good to hot glue the motor to the floorpan.

This is absolutely *phenomenal* work.
Quite why no-one has bothered to even respond to this, is, frankly, criminal.
Brilliant work, old chap.

It's always good to see Scaley/SCX cars being used for Slot Rally, with a bit (sometimes a lot) of work they're competitive.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...

Since SCX uses the shorter FR-series motor, it may be necessary to improve the balance with a little lead at the front.
It is also recommended to glue the motor to the floor pan.
