Two years ago, Scalextric launched their Ford Puma Rally1 range with the 2022 Rallye Monte Carlo winning car of Sebastien Loeb/Isabelle Galmiche (#19) and the car of their teammates Gus Greensmith and Jonas Andersson (#44). The latter team finished an impressive fifth in the Monegasque event and even managed to win one special stage.
It was the first time that the tubular space frame four-wheel drive hybrid Rally1 cars came into action. The 1.6 liter turbo combustion engine could be temporarily supported by a 136 hp electric motor, so that more than 500 hp came available for a short time.
Last year, the blue 2023 Rallye Monte Carlo Puma Rally1 car of Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja (#8) was released. After electrical problems and a power steering failure, the Estonians still managed to take fifth place overall.
This year Scalextic enlarged the Puma Rally1 range with the 2024 Rallye Monte Carlo car of Adrien Fourmaux/ Coria Alexandre (#16). The French team also finished the famous winter rally fifth overall.
From 2025, the electric motor has been deleted in Rally1 cars. They are now only powered by their 1.6 litre combustion engine.
For the Ford Puma this meant that approximately 386 hp remained.
As you can see the Scalextric Puma rally1 is spot on. Its motor is positioned inline and the front wheels are driven by an O-ring.
5 Grams of lead in the nose will improve the balance of the car.
