I am aware of that but I don't have a one track mind.

Perhaps next week we can start a thread on the new Avant GT3 white kit
Now will the new Avant GT3 " Red car kit" be better than the Racer GT3 "Red Car kit"

Gordon,
I think Kevan was just being polite. He really meant to say stop hijacking my build thread.
I don't post negative things about your stuff. Respect should go both ways.
If you don't like the way the car was designed. Please talk to Mr SlotCar directly. All I did was paint it.
Ken

Please tell me in what way I have been in any way rude. A forum is a place of discussion and here for people to give their views. Having a different opinion and expressing it is in no way being rude. Kevan told me, in no uncertain terms that my view about the revs of motors was, basically, stupid. If that was misunderstanding or him just being Kevan, who knows but he felt free to express his view - fair enough and I replied in kind.
Are you telling me that I'm not allowed to have a negative view of something? All I have ever done is say that I couldn't live with the inaccuracy. I, me, myself. Why the great protection about a particular brand? My reaction to Kevan was as a result of him telling me I wasn't allowed to let the slightest harmless piece of thread drift creep in. I think that, in general, the Corvette is a good looking car, but it isn't accurate and that is what I strive for when I make models so feel I'm quite free to express that opinion. If others disagree, no problem. Enjoy your cars the way they are.
If people want to critique any of my cars, please feel free. I do it for fun and if it satisfies me that's enough for me. If others disagree, that is their prerogative and i have no objection to a post on my threads expressing it. I certainly wouldn't chuck any toys out of the pram.

You did a very nice paint job Ken. I don't really like the current offering, although I do understand to bring a Le Mans class winner first, so I'm waiting for the next announced liveries.
I have one question, are the white wall tires bigger than the standard ones? On the pictures it looks that way.
Ps lets stay positive about these new cars from MrSlotcar, enough bashing going on on that other forum.

Keeping it civil and other forum members names out of it, I didn't mention anyone in particular and criticised nobody, all I said was:
Quote:38-50k motors on skinny rubber tyres...I see no point in that whatsoever.
...and
Quote:This is the car this thread is about...MRSlotcar Corvette C1
The tyres on the MRSlotcar Corvette look about 8mm wide and with a track width of only 54mm (as in the picture I posted) an overpowered motor wouldn't logically be a wise choice.

The original tyres are actually 7mm wide across the walls.
And 5mm contact patch as they were.

Henk,
Thank you for very kindly understanding that it's just my personal build thread. It's not like I was responsible for the design.
The original rubber tires were 7mm wide. I had to move up to an 8mm wide tire because of the white walls (urethane).
