Hungarian flows rather easily. You can say a lot of weird stuff with just a few words.  Thumbup

A rag soaked with some Goo Gone next to the epoxy station helps if you’re reasonably quick to wipe up.

I removed the epoxy and foam blocks securing the motor and tack soldered it in.

I don't like soldering the motor due to the heat not doing the magnets any good.  There was little room for the big tip on my soldering iron and obviously didn't do a sufficiently good job as the solder join failed after about an hour track time...so I've gone back to superglue sprinkled with bicarb powder.

On my short tight twisty test track it's a little hooligan and look forward to getting it on our 'real' Rally stages at the club.

Tyres are (were) Pendle Mini tyres on small wheels.  Rubber is a SlotIt rubber which work well but wear quickly so last night glued/trued a set of NSR 'special black' Rally tyres which I think is a G25 type rubber and a pig to grind...they grip very well but do have a tendency to grain after a minute.

Worked on the Rover turbine car a bit tonight.

Chassis finally built and mounted.  Looks ok for my track, I am happy.  Front inserts pending, no rear inserts on this one.

A local collector recently died leaving plastic kits and diecast collectibles.
Items are sold off to raise money for the local railway club.

I was offered some kits at £10 each so bought these.

Ebay price for these would be much more but it's good that proceeds are going to a good cause.

We only race 1/32 at the club but some of us fancy turning 1/24th scale kits like this into a Slot car.
...I'm not sure the Merc would get round our Rally stages though :o)
