It was a reminder as i remebered that i had a Reprotec Abarth without chassis so i opened the drawer ,i rather opened Pandoras box, as there was the Abarth which i built designing a solid aw
chassis plus rims

but i also discovered in that same drwaer a few forgoten projects with i pushed a few steps further fitting them with aw chassis

The red one was my entry to the Gary Skip's Unsung heros proxy ,ages ago,and i had managed to lose the chassis after the car returned.

In that same drawer there was a Hornby Volkswagen static kit turned into slot car,now fitted with 3dp chassis

As i started designing the chassis for it, my mind crossed the idea of designing an adjustable wheelbase instead. And so i did:
it consists of 3 parts ,front middle end rear joined together by square KS tube 3/32(Ref : KS8150 at Pendles) ,no screws are needed but a little filing is.

You can slice the middle part to shorten or add a middle part to lengthen or if you have access to a printer, using your slicer you can scale the middle part accross the x axis to the desired length.
The files will be uploaded on cults in a couple of days.
The only problem is you might be driven to extremities:
