Just checked it, now that's a thought. The battery pack from the old RC car that donated the motor is still sitting on my desk. Even have what looks to be the same display and power controller in my box of Arduino/pi bits and pieces....

Finished now with the remake and also a couple of minor changes my side.
From the original files I made the shield a little thicker as it felt too thin for my ham fisted usage.
From the remix I had no need for the voltage/amp meter, so I simplified the wiring and removed it. Instead added a little drawer to keep spare pulley wheels and allen keys etc.
Cheers, this was a really satisfying little project.

Side note, this was printed on a 10 year old Davinci Duo, mostly using their own filament and light infills.
During the course of this I made some changes for the printer to use better filaments and higher infills.
Now prints better and easier on the pocket too. If I feel the need I may remake some parts now I get better prints.

I've created a written and illustrated assembly manual with a fully up to date machine to help clear up any confusion due to design updates since the video was made.

I have created a Facebook group that anyone is welcome to join.
It's for sharing tips and tricks, asking questions about, or suggesting improvements to the machine, as long as it's about the G&S Tire Grinder.

Since RevoSlot has made 3mm axles in 1/32 cars a common thing now, not to mention all the 1/24 cars that use them, AND the fact that 3mm double flanged bushings that fit into regular 3/32" bushing clips don't exist (afaik), I've done a simple printable version. These will be included in my kits from now on, as well as a 3/32" version, as many new to the hobby who get my machine don't have spare 3/32" bushings to use with their slot.it and other cars. Note that, due to the variations of machines and material, you may need to get a reamer (or drill bit) of the appropriate size, or make adjustments to your flow rate or xy compensation in order to get a slip fit with your axles. They can be printed in any material and used with lubrication. I would not recommend filled materials, such as PETG-CF, as the abrasive nature might damage the axles.
Here's a link to the printables page, where they've already been uploaded:

I'll also be providing a bunch to Alan to sell via 132slotcar.us, for those out there wanting to convert cars with snap-in bushings from 3/32" to 3mm axles.
