Massive price difference though. LINK

Clock made from balsa wood and a cocktail stick. Clock face lifted from photo of real one.

I do apologise, the link didn't open on my pc and I assumed it was a cheap Chinese thing. Very red faced
Thanks re the clock

Quite a bit of progress on the gantry and the brick bridge section that helps hold it up.
After soldering the brick shapes, I've painted it all black and then did various different washes.

Doing the grout was fun, added sand and the a freeze type glue which I think is pretty much pva mixed with something else.

Really happy how this looks.

I've been collecting moss from bark thats fallen off trees and it's perfect for scenery.

Here's how she looks at the moment, rocket car to paint and make the Dunlop clock and then I'll do the base scenary where it all lives.

I made the the trackside billboard at the base of the Gantry as a pic I found.

Cheers for looking.

Thanks Leo,
I didn't like the Auto unions at first but they are growing on me so you might see one flying around the track one day Thumbup

Hi All,
I've had my first crack at static grass, I think I need a better static applicator but I'm happy with how it's turned out.
I painted a brown wash down and then mixed up some dirt/sand/plaster and water and pva to a consistency I could spread easy enough but not too runny.

I painted the little gate white and weathered it a bit.

Last Autumn I collected a load of branches to make trees and here's my first one. This will have the start finish banner attached to it and a pole over to the infield.

I've run out of dry dirt I had stashed, so I'll have to wait for some sunshine to be able to sieve some more.
Thanks for looking.
