They do really nice work, I didn't realise they were 1/2hr up the road from me.
I went and met them and got a peek at some awesome work they were doing.
Looking forward to seeing them at Gaydon.

Finished of the Magnetic racing stands.
I've given them a worn look with aged wood benches and floor.
The frame I've tried to depict the blue metal frame at Donington, I rounded the hand rails.
Just need to make some banners for the top panels now and get a move on with some grass on the hill.

I've got a bit of figure painting to crack on with.

Ron's figures are really good quality.

I've had a little break from building my car and thought I'd make a phone Gantry for the track.
I know you can buy one from Magnetic racing but I want mine to look similar to the one at Donington at Starkey's.
So I brought the longest Gantry the boys at Magnetic Racing sell and have chopped it up and made it wider to fit an old Android phone.

I used the blanks panels that have the light holes for the advertising boards, glued them together and cut the shape of the boards that were at the MotoGP in 2004 with Cinzano sponsorship.

I'm pretty pleased how these look, next job was to make part of the old Brick bridge.
I managed to get one arch in on my layout which is handy for looks.
I drew out the bricks roughly and then cut the underpass section out.
Then got a old soldering iron out and started shaping the bricks.

Next was to work on the Rocket car which I got printed from John May(thanks John) the black image is how I received it.
It need quite a lot of filler in areas. Thats all done and a few coats of filler primer and sanding. I glued the little frame sections to the bottom using off cuts from the Mag racing kit.
Next is to paint it blue.

I need to get some colours I'm missing to start painting the brick section, I'll probably paint the rocket next.
Here's how it looks on the track so far.

Cheers for looking.

Looking good Tony. Bit late now but Magnetic Racing stuff is awfully dear, far cheaper to buy lattice girders off eBay from model railway suppliers like THESE. The rocket car also needs a Union Flag on the tail fin.

I got mine from HERE. The 'small' 8mm x 5mm is just the right size.

Thanks Brian,
I got a good deal from the guys and would rather support small business like there's as I'm a small family business myself.
Rather do that than support China. Thumbup
Thanks re the Flag, what did you make your Dunlop clock from?
I've got to do that too.
Cheers

Not sure I understand the 'China' comment, the eBay link takes you to a small family run model business in Wales! Rofl
Massive price difference though. LINK

Clock made from balsa wood and a cocktail stick. Clock face lifted from photo of real one.
