Settled on my MT I as primary controller, and locked in the settings for each vehicle. 

Just getting familiar with how each one handles the dunes, rope bridge and the hillock before packing them away and transferring to base camp in Briare!

I don't imagine I will be competitive, so I'm going to try and enjoy the atmosphere and maybe learn a bit from those Raid crazy French and Spanish entrants.

After a rainy drive down through France, I have arrived in Briare and checked out my home for le weekend...

   

   

   

   

   

I left them setting up the tracks and retired to my bed for the afternoon.

Drivers dinner is in a local restaurant this evening. Let's see who the unlucky person is who has to sit next to me and translate everything!

I t was a very sociable meal, and we all meet up again tomorrow for breakfast in the hall  before the games start!

Table chat would suggest the French organize FDD in the spirit of commaradary rather than competition. I doubt I will upset the applecart, but a hush fell over the restaurant when the first if the Spanish entrants walked in...
