3dp Chassis Pick & Mix
#1

3dp Chassis Pick & Mix.

Read the post by Savage GT and the desirability of pod designs etc. so thought would share some basic pods (and a chassis) here on Slot Racer for everyone to use.

Below is a simple ‘Pick & Mix’ chassis system with 4 different inline pods.

Boxer
S can plastic end drive
S Can can drive
Slimline FF050

Using the parts shown, a chassis can be put together either as separate items or ‘welded’ using CAD or Slicer into the base plates and the wheel base adjusted to suit. Included is the front axle support, over/under guide holders, body and chassis posts and some wheel spacers.

Example chassis.

This example has printed parts either screwed of glued to the top face of the chassis plates, and a cut out added for guide clearance using one of the holes to get the cut out central. The two plates are pushed together which can be done either in CAD or using the Slicer software i.e. Cura. The chassis posts can be glued in position then used to spot drill through and create the openings in the plate.

Cheers
John
