First things first...can anyone assist with where I can buy one of these French plugs for my controller?

I guess to make sure you've got the right plug, you might have to brush up on your Franglais, and head on over to FOLM. Thumbup

Been there, done that. Doesn't seem like a very active community on there.

Off to some French retailer websites to see if I can spot what they use.

that is a standard 220v plug used in houses in europe. I am positive you will find it on Amazon -if not PM me - I am coming accross at the end of the month and can post you a couple when I am over there

Thank you Anthony...I'll take a look, although I try not to use Amazon as they seem averse to contributing to the wages of the teachers and NHS staff in the UK.

And having seen all their shop signs form the autoroutes, I would love to order something from E'leclerc!

Check with the organisers that it’s a CEE 7/6 French Type E plug. That’s what it looks like. It’s traditionally used in France and Belgium, but superseded by the CEE 7/7 hybrid that is compatible with both the French 7/6 Type E and pan-European ‘Schuko’ Type F sockets. The difference is in the location of earth connector(s), which will be important with the controller hook-up.

The French has an earth pin sticking out of the socket and locates into a hole on the plug. The Schuko has a pair of earth connectors on the socket that connect to the top and bottom edges of the plug. The hybrid has all three earth connectors. I can’t see why a hybrid wouldn’t work for the controller.

There are a few hybrid plugs I can see on UK eBay like this one. A true Type E might need to be sourced from France or Belgium.

Travel adaptor might be adaptable.  Not  sure if those have the "earth" connection though.

I've had confirmation from the organiser that this plug is the one they use...

Merci tout le monde!
