I have a number of MG Vanquish Can Am cars missing mirrors, the majority of which seem to use the same piece.
Can anyone suggest a source of replacements please? I'm not expecting 'unobtanium' originals but some suitable cheap, repeatable and easily obtained parts to give them a finished look.
Thanks.

The problem could be that the Vanquish models are somewhat over scale, so maybe “ scale” after market substitutes may not look quite right.
But do you have a photo of the actual Vanquish mirror which was lost ?

Turns out they are various McLarens, which all use mirrors like this. Anything similar would be great.
I'd need up to six pairs though! (Easier than trying to say so many lefts and rights!)
I haven't checked the Shadows yet but their mirrors are not the same as these.

I have repopped a short stem mirror in resin from a Vanquish model...cant remember which one, thought it was a Mclaren though or maybe from an F1 car?
I could reproduce the long stem versions but would need the originals on hand to do so.

The short stemmed
could have been from the Lola T260 - but being short stemmed and well inboard they survive handling really well. It's the long stemmed outboard mirrors that suffer, either in racing, or in the case of those I have, just from being unboxed. They're very vulnerable.
I have PM'd you.

I was thinking that this company RSC might have something similar, but I can't see any long stem mirrors.

Yes, it's a nice site - but no suitable mirrors, unless I make my own long stems?

Carrera sell various wing mirrors for their McLaren M20 that I have used on several Vanquish McLaren rebuilds,.........they are very very similar to the OEM Vanquish ones,.....there are a couple of variations, both low and high stalk mirrors.
Parts numbers are......#89674, #89679, #90240,..........Electric Dreams and LEB hobbies (both US based) have these in stock. I have not checked with Pendle etc.
They also have mirrors from the Carrera Porsche 917/20 models that may well work for the Shadow.
Cheers
