Look forward to watching the progress Thumbup

Yes it is! I sat on it for quite some time, and the wife tells me to build it now so she has a choice of Minis to run, instead of just this one...

Time to work on these. I have 3 complete cars and the red Cox replica - no idea who made it - It is plastic with white metal parts with headlight openings which means it is not a Bauer kit. Allso not MRRC..... using a Carrera chassis on this but need tyres for the lovely Carrera wheels - but object to pay 7 euros  plus 17 euros postage, as I can only find them at one dealer in Germany (at the moment - still looking)

They weren’t successful as 1:1 or 1/32 scale racers, but something about them makes them a “must-have” car. I picked one of the last MRRC bodies in Pendle’s stock a few years ago.

The Flexi theme continues for the work table. All this is for an open class Flexi that I'm attempting to build from scratch myself... first time.

I will be following the car that Brad Y from Show Us Ya Slotz built for me, let's see me try to come close to doing justice, very hard when there is no one around locally to help.

In the past, I have always applied Future with baby buds. The finish looked OK but I decided to give splashing it about a bit a go!

So on my bench are the cars that I have given a bath so far. The new Johnson's PLIZ is better than the original and is fairly cheap. The liquid just goes on evenly and runs off easily. A few taps to remove any drips and in an hour or two....one shiny car. Quite pleased. I can save the baby buds for sticking in my ears or even nose in Blackadder fashion.

Producing a line like this in resin can feel tedious but at the end their is a good amount of satisfaction.
