Ascari
#1

I just saw a Ninco Ascari and liked the look of it, not hoping for great performance but it might be quicker then the Fly Viper I am using in GT3,  am I wrong or are they ok, It doesn`t matter much, it was cheap and and can be used as a club loaner if it`s not......

Non mag the Ascari will run better than the Fly Viper, as long as the pinion gear is still serviceable. With mag, there is little to match a Fly Viper.

What replacement pinion is available ?

Not sure that there is.

Possibly a replacement kit from one of the spares manufacturers.

If it comes with the red anglewinder gear set like this:

That was the only alternative gear set we were allowed to use on the Powerslot Polo Rally car in Standard class.  Sadly difficult to find, it was easier to buy a 2nd hand car for those gears...that was a few years ago and the PS Polo is now a rarity in Rally.

There's a good article on that gear set here -> https://brshobbies.blogspot.com/2013/04/...r-set.html

Unless your rules are strict (that's if you even have rules) there's plenty of alternatives out there starting with SlotIt and NSR and you can mix & match gears from different manufacturers and you don't have to fit angled pinions either.

Life is like a box of Slot cars... Cool Drinkingcheers
