Slot.It wheels, etc. There are a few details left like wire,braid, and guide. New body posts front and back should fix it right up.



The body is just sitting on the tires at the moment. But there's hope for this little baby Swift to go... Swiftly!

If it's going on a Rally stage, Shark 20 is best, Shark 22 has less grunt but more go, Shark 25 will feel the smoothest but need the top speed knocking back.

I hear ya Mickey. I'm thinking of adding one magnifying upgrade to my workbench so I only need one pair of specs. I think it'll be $59 well spent. Comes with an added light too.

Working on my first 1/24 car to use at the club track.  Trying to get the stance right before going to paint.  With the body style it may not be competitive, but should be fun to race.  Is fitted on a Plafit chassis and the club is a reseller for the parts.  So should have some tuning potential and benefit from the experience of the club owner in getting it right.  This is based on the KenMary 4DR Skyline works car.

Two policar lotus 72 f1 cars in prep for the policar GP at Gaydon UKSF in 2 weeks time.
These are my club racing cars for NascotWoodSlotCarClub.Co.uk

Many retrofits to make for CSCRA compliance, The main one being the gearing which has to be put back to factory fitted rear axle.

I'd previously bought two  complete motor mounts with gears and motors cheaply at swap meets and the intention was to do a  complete pod swap out to preserve my club racing setup.however, it looks like these mounts are for the ferrari, not the lotus

Not the quickest job in the world to strip a Policar classic F1 to bits.

I've tried an 18T axle in my March 701 to get more brakes/acceleration but it doesn't flow the same as stock gearing so I went back to kit setup.

The first week I raced it I used the kit tyres glued/trued on the plastic wheels, they're actually fantastic tyres and didn't know just how good they are until replacing them with a set of Policar alloys and NSR Ultras which are only marginally better.

...not a great deal of room for ballast  Bigsmile

True, a full stripdown and cleanup is a very long job on these little cars.
The 18 axle was a retrofit to improve acceleration and the retrofit worked well. 
I find that the default 17 axle feels overgeared even on the longest of tracks.
I counter any excessive braking with adjustment on the SCP2

The gearbox(layshaft) is where all of the fettling makes a big difference. 
Much more to be had here from careful and diligent setup than from altering ratios because the available ratios don't offer anywhere near enough spread. 

Graham (wizard) Eldridge killed us all at NascotWood  with his policar lotus f1 in 2019 on factory fitted gearing. 

Now how to fit the 20mm min rear tyres without inducing rollover?  Rollingred
(I normally run at 19.2mm)
