You just have to spread the braids wider. The pin guide works fine, but they run in the opposite direction to Scalextric 1/32 cars.
I don't want to open it if you can't use it on a normal size track, I'll just display it.

I've been a bit remiss on posting 2022 purchases but here's the first 'catch-up' photo. I rarely buy new, as they'd be ripped out of their boxes and onto the track where they belong, in no time - so these are no exception to my buying ethos.
All from the same vendor on another forum, the Jagermeister car is awaiting a 'Clear parts' kit from the Top Slots 'n' Trains sale as the rear screen is smashed and the headlight lenses are missing. It also has 'rubber band' front tyres and original but rather 'sticky-out'wheel inserts that will both get replaced at some point. It's still a nice car though.
The white car is an all out racer with vac-formed glass and some race damage. The rear spoiler was detached but I've been able to glue it back in place, albeit a little lower than stock and some sort of body/spoiler trim is missing just ahead of the front wheels on both sides. I'll be fabricating something from plastic sheet to plug the gaps and be looking for some wheel inserts at some point. The front and rear wheels are different diameters though. I may sort out a windscreen strip of some sort for it too.
Finally, the red car I believe to be some sort of limited edition, a dealer or show special. I did find reference to it somewhere but forgot to save it. It appears to be as it left the factory, other than a change of rear tyres.
