National GT3 2022

2nd Round

South Manchester Slot Racing Club

Sunday 24th April 20

We are very happy once again to be running this round at our club and ask you to register your interest below.
We will be using the six lane Catalunya track, this is MDF with surface mounted copper tape.
Depending on numbers we hope to be able to run 5-minute heats. There will be no step-up finals.
There will be a 3-lap pre-race qualification race to decide seeding places. It will be on the Red Lane.

We will have the doors open and two fans working during the day.

Order of events on Sunday

0800 – Doors open, and practice begins

0900 – Registration & Scrutineering begins

0945- Practice Ends.

1000- Qualification Race – Registered Drivers Only

1030 – Racing starts

Saturday Practice – 23rd April 2022 1300-1700

Both tracks will be available on Saturday at a cost of £2.00

If you practice on Saturday or are an SMSRC member you will have limited access to the Catalunya Racetrack on Sunday. The Race Controller will carefully monitor this and take appropriate action if necessary.

Raceday General Information

There will be a designated Race Controller. He will try to make the day run smoothly and fairly.
Race Coordinator is to be set to a 150 second break between heats.
Each driver is responsible for placing their correctly stickered car at the start line. You must use the stickers provided and it should be placed on the cars bonnet. Allow enough time to get from the start line to the driver station.
After the race has finished, you must go to your designated marshalling point. There are six and are clearly indicated. Your car will be collected and placed in Parc Ferme. It can be collected after you have marshalled. You will still have plenty of time to work on your car before racing again.

Guests and unregistered drivers will be grouped together so will not need to set a qualifying time.

The Three Rivers track will not be in use during racing. The club will provide a ‘rolling road’ for testing motors etc.

Domestic Arrangements

Tea and Coffee will be available on both days. £1 all weekend.

Hot Bacon/Sausage barms will be available.

Free cake in the afternoon if I don’t leave it in the car!

All,
The tech committee have evaluated the recently released NSR McLaren which is now available from UK retailers.
They have agreed for the car to be included and thus it will be eligible with immediate effect.
Thanks
Matt
