Thanks AB...all clues about how to do it gratefully received, and will be referencing yours under the 'good' heading.
The only clue the donor mentioned gave me was about running the motor shaft off centre to allow for a full depth driver. How did you sort out the drives shaft?

Ehr... Anthony, to me it looks more like an Alfa Romeo!
Otherwise, I have nothing to contribute with, sorry. I once started building both these cars but never finished them.
I will follow this with interest!
Are you going for modern or vintage?

Don't hold your breath as I have absolutely no idea where to start.
I'm so out of my depth it's embarrassing.

@Carver Bwahahahaha - of course it is an Alfa Romeo..... dunno what I was thinking
I used a Dynamic 60's chassis with 16D. I then used a cut and adjusted Scalextric driver. Sadly I dont own the car any longer and cannot find any pics of the chassis.

But as a principle, I need to insert a chassis inside the body, so the bodywork is not a stressed component?

I would glue the body together and then cut out the underneath....enough to insert a chassis.
I wonder what wheels you would use for this?
