Whats on your bench ...

  • 3D resin printed modified Moggy 1000
  • FDM 3D printed chassis made to specifically fit the bodyshell
  • 3/32" Tungsten TIG rod ballast (70% denser than lead but a b***er to cut unless you have a diamond cutting disc in your Dremmel)
  • SlotIt inline pod
  • SlotIt FK180 21k motor with steel shim under to limit magnetic effect to less than 25g
  • 8mm soft tyres that feel like NSR Ultras but not sure as they were on a car I bought
  • 54mm across the outsides of the tyres for our Small Sport/Saloon class
  • 3D resin printed hollowed driver and navigator for Slot Rally

They always look quick when you video them but it does drive nicely.

It's a bit hefty with that tall bodyshell, the motor is 31g by itself, the rolling weight is 101g, I could easily reduce the weight and stick a quicker motor in - at the risk of rolling out of the slot but I like a car that's kind to it's tyres and manages to keep marshals fingerprints away.

I'll try a 130 motor, NSR Shark 22 would probably be overkill on these skinny tyres.

My favourite livery on my favourite car, converted from 'Home Series' to 'Racing' configuration...

So that's using a podded Scaleauto chassis and Staffs BBS wheels. Now I just need a GT3 series to race it in!
