Hi from Cambridge UK
#1

Hi, Wavegreen
Brian (CMOTD) introduced me to this new Forum at the Slotcar Festival yesterday, so having had a quick look this morning feel this site has a bit of a familiar feel I like, and so here I am now registered!

I am more of a collector (mainly Scalextric) than racer.

If you want to visit the little club I run just outside St. Neots near Cambridge once a month drop me a line. No serious racing just more of a social evening, the club tries to appeal to the younger generation of slot racers as well as long as they are accompanied by an adult. I use a Ninco 4 lane set up for those who like to know these kind of things, and can always try and help you out if you need some of that track.

Cheers,
CB

Hello CB, that sounds like my kind of club. Too far from Edinburgh though.

Hi Brian,
Good to talk to you yesterday and thanks for the introduction here.
We finished getting all the tables out just before 6pm but by the time everyone had cleared out it was nearer 6.15pm so not bad going. Rob Campling and Pendle were the last ones out. Got myself a good workout shifting all those tables, and the guys who collected them were happy this year as half were delivered on the wheels straight to their lorry when they turned up to collect. Tired today, but happy just admiring the black and white LE cars from the weekend. Pictures attached for those not there at event to see the cars.  3 UKSF Escorts black LE of 200, silver and gold LE of 25, Aston Marshalls car LE of 175 (not all released at UKSF so you may still be in luck to get one if you contact Mark/Roger/Sean if you still want one), NSCC Aston Martin LE of 130 to members only, and Dodge Charger Exhibitors car LE of 50
Cheers,
CB
