Whats on your bench ...
#91

More soddering! on my GT3 car. This time the car went in the right direction, which was nice.

(Analogue builds are so simple compared to digital!)

I love puttering with gears

My 1/32 Cox Cheetah, currently reduced to a 'kit' of parts. Bought as an almost complete non-runner in a 'spares or repairs' job lot on eBay in July ..... 2019!

The body was removed and running gear dismantled in September of the same year but the body remained in one piece until I plucked up courage to tackle it earlier this month.

Various techniques were used to return it to its component parts for paint stripping - scalpel, freezing, Dremel, gentle leverage - all very difficult when you have your fingers crossed against damaging parts!

I did break the roll bar - inevitable as it was slathered in place with huge dollops of plastic cement - but that's easily replaced with wire from a large paper clip.

Not so easy is that it was missing one headlight and headlight glass. The headlight's not a problem but if anyone knows the wherabouts of a pair of preferably clear headlight covers, or the opaque type that were supplied as an alternative, I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Not sure how long it'll be before I move on to actual stripping of the paintwork, given the pace of progress so far!  Time

The Airfix Ferrari was a spur of the moment deal as I was cleaning up and sorting 'stuff' and found this lying in a drawer.

Just fitted the analogue module to my controller.

I think that is about as technical as I should get today, I can feel the prosecco starting to kick in...

A bug landed on my bench. So, I painted it before it ran off.
