The road to the slot track is paved with good intentions........ but no! I just don't see the point in having cars that work sitting there to be looked at. Why have motors in them? Plenty of plastic kits and Buragos out there for that.

It's like having cars like Bugattis and Ferraris stuck under plastic wrap rather than doing what they were designed for.

In  order  to  speed  up  the  production  of  popsicle stick  chassis I've   made  a  jig so  I  can ensure the  holes  line   up ,so  I  should  be  able to  get the construction   time   down  to  about  an hour  from table   to  track  if  I  try  hard  Checkeredflag

My digital workpench has a few projects on it at the moment. All 1/64 scale. Lola T-90, Elf, Lotus 7, a 1918 racer, etc. And printing out a bunch of Loti for a large order...

I  built  a  couple  of  popsicle  chassis  last night using   the  afore  mentioned  jig .Bench   to  track   about  an hour  and  a  half. Both  were  tested  using  the  same  rear  tyres  and  gave  near  identical   lap times  to  with  in a  tenth of a second .Now  to  decide  on bodies .

I've had this in my photo library for ages. I always intended to make one but, strangely for a woodworker, have always used brass as it's what I am used to.
