Nascars
#1

it is approaching the annual "American Pie" National Slot Car event at Rockingham on Sunday, celebrating the different types of historic American Racing cars.

So for a change I decided to build myself 2 classic Nascars for the event

The 1959 Ford Thunderbird and the 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

The Thunderbird made from a AMT body kit with a Richard Mack chassis and Scaleauto 30k rpm SC motor.
And the Roadrunner is a PGR Slot Cars 3d printed kit with PGR chassis and NSR LC 21k rpm motor.

Also to be finished hopefully today is a PGR Slot Car Ferrari 612P, for the Can Am event, photo later

Well yesterday was another great day at Rockingham "American Pie" Event and guess who won the Saloon Car Concorse.

Race wise it did not fair so well, but I enjoyed running the car and there is potential for improvement in performance to be developed for next time.

It won the Concorse in spite of issues I had with the over lacquer reacting to give an adverse effect with the decals in places. So for next year the model will need sanding down again and a fresh approach to applying the decals, not sure if this was weather related or just more sensitive decals than I had in the past (never experienced this previously with the supplier)
