No-one likes spam, right?  It usually goes straight to a dedicated folder in my e-mail browser.  However.........

I have an account with Premier Inn, because of the amount of times I/we use their facilities.  I always book online, and have never had a problem with any of my bookings (well, there was once but that was my fault......).  But recently, PI have started bombarding me with reminder e-mails at regular intervals during the week leading-up to the day of the booking.  If I mark them as spam, everything I get from PI will go straight into the spam folder.   Tappingfoot

So, short of remembering to un-spam them before I book, and then remembering to revert them once I get the confirmation and invoice, I suppose I'll have to put-up with their ******* spam.   Angry

Best regards,
Stuart.

I last stayed in a Premier Inn two years ago but I still get an email from them at least once a week with special offers! IHG (Holiday Inns etc) are even worse, I belong to their loyalty scheme so they punish me with a daily email about hotels I can't afford in the Caribbean!

I also have a dedicated 'junk' folder but I am not sure such things are any use. You still have to check them regularly in case good emails end up there.

It is wise to have an additional email account that you use for these kind of websites. When you have an iCloud or DuckDuckGo account the browser already gives you the possibility to use a generated email address, that can be disabled at any time. I always use such an email address when I visit a shop for the first time.

Also never give your real birthdate, I always use 1/1/59 which is near my real birthdate but not exactly Bigsmile

I have an old email address I can't get rid of because of my provider. I get a lot of spam there so I found out that this address was gathered in a LinkedIn data breach.
