Ground Clearance Blocks
#11

One important thing to remember when 3D printing, height accuracy is directly affected by your slicers settings and layer heights.

I prefer printing in 0.16mm layers as that's a 'magic number' for 3D printers i.e. multiples of 0.04mm that stepper motors can accurately index by.

So try a few layer heights and check the printed height in the slicer.  I use Prusa Slicer and a bit of fiddling with 'variable layers' where the measures step starts (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm bit) gets the finished print really close.

...on my normal 0.16mm layers the 1.5mm block actually measured 1.6mm
