Evening everyone ( or whatever time it is in your particular bit of the world!)
I have recently acquired 4 of the lovely Carrera classic NASCARS. 3 used, 1 new.
They look awesome, are very well built ( strong!) but of course the standard Carrera tyres are hopeless once the nasty magnet is removed. So.....please can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction for replacement tyres. We race on Scalextric Sport track, 4 lane analogue, proper DS set up. Based in the UK, Surrey don't you know, so almost posh! Yeah, right
Any help on sizes or what you guys have used much appreciated!
Thanks,
Pip

Paul Gage is the go to guy for all Carrera replacement tyres in urethane.
LINK
If he doesn't make it then nobody does. His service is unbeatable but the downside is that he is based in Canada, has no European distributor and the shipping charges are horrendous.
Slot Car Union
LINK are French and also do some but they are silicone which may be banned at your club.

BRM are selling replacement NASCAR tyres for SCX and Scalextric, but I don’t know if they fit Carrera wheels. They also do their own NASCAR wheels and inserts to match. So you could always replace the Carrera wheels perhaps.

Really tricky to get Paul Gages in the UK these days, but worth trying Slot Car Supplies. In my notebook I have the size as PGT 22103XD for the Carrera classic NASCARs - that’s the early 70s cars. The 50s cars take a narrower tyre: PGT 21093XD.
If you have no luck, Mike D has made some similar urethanes for our WHO Digital Carrera classic Nascar class. He may be able to spare four pairs for a fellow Sport user. He is mikefi here.

It all depends what is allowed on the track: urethane, silicone, rubber?
Generally there is a lot of different sizes Ortman tires available for almost all Carrera cars 1:32 and 1:24, perhaps you can find reseller in the UK as well.

As you probably know, RS Slot Racing are the UK distributors for Ortmann tyres. At first glance they don't appear to do what you want but it may be worthwhile if you look

Correct #s on the PG tires.
The BRM tires are for the modern NASCAR cars.

It might be worth a look at WASP urethane tyres
https://mcslots.co.uk/collections/tyres?page=3
I’ve had very good experience with them.
I can’t see Carrera NASCAR classics there, but this site doesn’t list all the sizes, so it might be worth a message to them.
They’re on eBay as well.
