HP2 Again, but different. ;)

I have 2 Porsche 908 long nose by Tyco. Both HP2 one looks a little newer as one as a diode across the lamp the other does not. Is there a common issue with them as far as not running? The one w/the diode ran, made a couple passes on my drag strip and it quit running and light won't light up. The other one the light lights up but no movement at all. Any ideas?
