Do you have a digital volt meter that makes a noise when testing continuity? If you do, then you can start trying to find where the break (if there is one) in the circuit is.
With the meter, check the points along one of the wires - red or black - touching the bare bar at front with one probe and the solder points with the other probe.
If the circuit is good you should hear a beep at each point. If it's not you might have a cold solder joint.
