First visit free. No-mag racing on Sport Track at 11-12v. Club cars and controllers provided.
Next meeting Sept 2nd.
Easy access via A14 and A134 just 5 miles south of Bury St Edmunds. Quiet village location.
Loads of free on-site (off-road) hard standing car parking outside the well equipped village hall.
Friendly, enjoyable, low-key racing. Come and give us a try!
It has a few flaws, TBH was a bit of a rush job to get it ready for probably my last club race, but I think it is an acceptable job.
I did take liberties with the hertz wing decal, for some reason the lemans decal set one was just over half the wing width, it should fill the whole wing from pics I referenced.
What is more than acceptable IMO, the performance, I think this is the car to have in our Open GT class, matching pace with the SRC Toyota's and Scaleauto Radicals. All I did was a change of wheels and tyres to the clubs proven performers, changed the guide as a preference, and added some weight.
A while back someone in our 1/32 club wondered if the new large club track would fit 1/25 cars?
A few 1/25 bodies were set on the track to test the 3.5" inch spacing.
The first two test cars hit the track. They ran great.
A few more cars were added by the next event.
We just had an event last Saturday and this is what the field looked like.
Three more cars are expected to be ready for the next event, next month.

To celebrate the day of my birth, I ordered in this piece of heavy duty Americana...a DD301
Main role will be to drive at rally events, hence the lack of the traction control knob which I felt would just confuse me in the limited time you get to familiarise yourself with new tracks!
It feels fast just holding it. Can't wait to get some banana plugs on it and give it a go.
Anyone else run a Difalco?
Our 2023 GT championship ended deep into the summer holidays - two months later than scheduled. That meant a few regulars were missing, but we welcomed back Matt and Florence - last seen at the Barn in November 2016 - who brought along Dylan for his WHO debut. They formed a rookie team with Andy at Race Control and the other fifteen racers were nicely split into five teams of three. Oliver's Slot Carazing pretty much had the championship in the bag, but Ryan's Smooth Operators still had a mathematical chance - they needed the bonus point for pole position, the race win and Carazing finishing last. Oliver had Jean and Terry on board again, whereas Ryan had brand new teammates in Ash and Jerome...
Mike's Brands Hatch-inspired track filled the width of the Barn and gave us a fast track, but with plenty of braking required. It was a far more challenging track than a first glance suggested...
The two minute super-pole session gave Ryan what he needed - by 34 thousandths of a second...
It was now simply a case of winning the race and hoping his big brother's team were hit by mechanical gremlins.
