This week’s Slot Car news!
Christmas may be racing into view, but we’ve still got slot car news to catch up on. This week we have a classic Alfa Romeo, a classic Ferrari, a trio of Toyotas, a brace of Senna’s cars, and one from Monsieur Prost. Plus we have our usual round up of events from the Calendar, and the best video and photography.

Availabe Now
- Slot Classic Alfa Romeo 2 Autotutto Slot Classic have released a limited edition model of the Alfa Romeo 2, in a classic Assistenza Corse livery. No matter what duties this Autotutto originally performed in it’s working life, it is this livery which is understandably the most popular when restoring original vehicles. Limited to 200 units.
- Modelant Ferrari 246 SP Modelant have released a limited edition model of the Ferrari 246 SP, which won the 1961 Targa Florio in the hands of Olivier Gendebien and Wolfgang Von Trips. The model specifically recreates the scene at the end of the race when Gendebien sat on the back of the car as the drivers made their way to the podium. Production is limited to 150 numbered units.
Coming Soon
- Avant Slot Toyota Yaris Rally 2 Avant Slot have posted photos of the first three liveries of their Toyota Yaris Rally 2 model. The three colour schemes recreate a test car, a presentation car, and a Rally Japan car. All three are expected in January 2025.
- NSR Formula 86/89 NSR are releasing two new liveries in their Formula 86/89 range, paying tribute to the epic battles between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost at McLaren. NSR don’t actually claim the cars represent the MP4/4 of 1988, when Senna narrowly beat Prost, but I think we can be sure that is what they are meant to be. These are showing as sold out on the NSR site, but will presumably be available from retailers at some point.
- Fly Toleman TG184 Rafa Fly has surprised just about everyone by announcing that he is working on a Toleman TG184 model. I don’t suppose you would make a Toleman TG184 without recreating Senna’s astounding drive at the 1984 Monaco GP, where he and Toleman were controversially denied their first wins, but so far we have no details.
