Chingola
I suppose it's fair to say that the race track at Chingola is by no means well known, in fact I doubt that anybody other than the motorsports fans of Chingola itself know anything about it. Despite all of my research, details remain elusive, verging on non existant.
I can tell you that it was, and still is, a 1½ mile paved track, probably raced since the 1960s, and located in Zambia, what was Northern Rhodesia. It was originally known as Garneton prior to Independence (though even this has been disputed with one source suggesting that Garneton was a different circuit), and later known as the Lawrence Allen Circuit (which definitely isn't disputed).
To be honest, I found a picture of the track layout and, struck by the possibility of it making a nice slot track, I was hoping to find out more about it's history. I failed.
So unless anybody has any more information, the track will remain something of a mystery. But it's still a nice layout.
