Hunmanby

Hunmanby Raceway

Autograss is a reatively simple, entry level motorsport here in Britain, which gives enthusiasts of almost any age, or budget, a chance to race.

The circuits are usually basic 400m dirt ovals, and the cars are divided into racing classes, ranging from basic bangers, up to the more sophisticated specials.

Hunmanby Raceway is the track for the Scarborough Autograss Club and the layout below represents a true to scale recreation of the circuit. But the same basic layout can be found in autograss tracks all around the country, numbering around 40, spread all across Great Britain.

This may not be motor sport at it's highest level, but the number of tracks and competitors certainly makes it one of the most accessible. This is quite literally grass roots racing.
