my question: 
does anyone else but me see the difference between the 2 chassis variants?
personally i like the view of the steering chassis. 
the intention is to simulate the effect the driver does in every car and bike - take a look into the corner before actually entering the corner ...
it the height difference obvious in the videos?

Nice! That definitely looks more realistic in the tighter corners. The extra height made no difference for me.

Definitely the "steering" chassis is ideal.  Most on-board videos suffer from sharpness on tight bends.

Am thinking about the SQ23 type.

i'm using the GoPro Hero Session that belongs to my son.
before i used a 808 #16 key chain camera. do not know about the SQ23 cam, got a link for me?

Hello Peter,
Ebay Linky is below for SQ23 type.  They appear under different brand names and most of them seem to be sold from China. 
I have used a key-fob and also a "Wing Camera" but aiming these is guesswork so I wanted to be able to view the set up from my phone.

The Go-Pro cameras I have looked at are too large. Although I am wondering if the dimensions include the housing? Hero Session looks to be 246 x 104 x 70 mm (H x W x D) but yours looks smaller.
Would appreciate measurements from yours if convenient.

the measurements of the GoPro Hero Session are:
38x38x36 mm
74g weight

thanks for the link on the SQ23 - it should fit the CamChassis43s nicely. nice price with good features!

the vids above have been taken with 1920x1024 x 60fps btw. do not know if the 60fps make a big difference when going slow. 
i will try that - maybe tomorrow ...
