Yes, shame. I just admire from afar. Nowadays postage costs are bonkers!

Phil from RRR jst replied to me concering a few bodies. He seems to be a nice guy.
First, he only has one of the cars in stock that I'm interested in.
Second he says I need to burden my neice in Buffalo to pay for me because he won't drop-ship. He doesn't care that I'm prepaying.
Or I need to pay $43 US dollars to ship one $18 body to Canada.
I informed him that he has a great product and that I wish him nothing but success. But as a Canadian, they are impossible to buy from. I asked him if he would pay such a shippng cost himself and await a response.
I already burden my neice enough asking her to forward all my 1/32 parts.
It's back to the drawing board for aftermarket bodies. I won't jump through hoops for one single HO slot car body. Lesson learned.

There's a solution Ken. I have four or five spare bodies if you want to send your chassis and Andy can hook the two up.
If you can PM me your email address I'll take a photo and you can choose one or two.

Hi Top Down.
Thank you very kindly for the offer. I have more than enough bodies to get started.
I was merely doing some shopping for nicer/cooler stuff than I already own, and RRR bodies looked really good at first. But at $20 USD for a body plus $43 USD shipping plus taxes and duties? My goodness, I'll buy a complete 1/32 Slot.It car for that kind of money. I can get a Slot.It car from a brick and mortar retail store for about $60 USD.
Too bad he doesn't realize he's shooting himself in the foot. I'm still going to lay down my money for a nice body eventually. It's just that the money won't go to RRR. It's not my loss.
Small businesses are funny that way.

OK. Good that you have some stock in hand then.

(Of course you have! I forgot about your photo line-up!!)
RRR has always been a US only supplier. Guess he does enough business there as it is.

In closing with RRR. Phil basically called me a thief yesterday because I asked him to send pre-paid bodies to my neice in Buffalo to save shipping costs. He basically said I would get the bodies. Then lie about receiving them and demand the money back.
Anyone that accuses a new customer of being thief doesn't need more business. He didn't even bother to try and quailfy me as being an honest customer. No dialogue whatsoever.
I informed him that I was ready to prepay him for his bodies, so as to offer them to members of this club because I am sending drag-race proxy cars. Instead, he reiterates his warning to me that he won't sell to anyone in Europe. Wow. Abrasive is an understatement.
Pardon me for venting. Some retailers shoot themselves in the foot. Phil from RRR took himself out at the knees. I was ready to buy a gaggle of his bodies.
This has merely caused me to hunt for other body suppliers. I can't get stuck on one bad apple.
I honestly did my best to try and offer Phil's RRR bodies to this club. Unfortunately, it's a wash.

Well I didn't like to say but ....

I finally took an inventory of the cars I've collected over time. The T-jets are sorted. It's time to sort the rest of the cars.
There are differences. 9-AFX cars are basically the same. One on the right has larger track magnets than the rest.
[attachment=11942]
Then there's these guys.
[attachment=11943]
And then these 2 with neo magnets, and different guide supports.
[attachment=11944]
Newer AW's.
[attachment=11945]
One with a track magnet. Both chassis were made in 2006.
[attachment=11946]
Then there's a few AFX oldies.
[attachment=11947]
A tyco police cruiser.
[attachment=11948]
[attachment=11949]
[attachment=11950]
[attachment=11951]
[attachment=11952]
Aurora Tomy F1's.
[attachment=11953]
An unknown F1. No names written on it anywhere. Note the intersting coil spring for the pick up shoes.
[attachment=11954]
An AFX Jeep CJ with headlights. The headlights works, but motor won't run... yet. Probably needs a cleaning from years of dust-itus desease.

I am thinking of trading the Impala for a red Z-28 in the next drag-race.

MEV Slot Cars looks interesting.

Anyone here dealt with them before?
It's $15 USD for an unfinished body. Shipping included in the USA, or Canada. That sounds fair.
