The first batch of parcels are ready to go - the Wye Valley chaps, Graham, Andy D, Simon K, Mike, Paul, Kev, Ade, Craig & Steve and Leo will have their cars posted today. I shall be in touch with PayPal payment details for the princely sum of £3.00. If Alan gets back to me soon, his Mégane will be in the post too.
Simon C, Duncan, Oli and Pete's cars will be making their way to Worthing - one way or another - in the next 24 hours.
That only leaves Team Chesterfield, plus Clive and Jeremy's cars, which are all waiting to return with HO drag cars next Monday/Tuesday after the weekend's
event on the strip.
Don't forget, there will be a final News Briefing tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm. Pretty much everything in this thread is now indexed on the
opening post.

2. Stage 11: Brighton Pavilion Ice Rink. This was the final drama of the Rally-Sprint and most of it can be viewed on the Facebook event
here. The running order was based on class standings, so the top two were the last cars through the stage. The report of the stage starts
here.
The class podiums were...
Class A: 1. Graham Edwards, 2. Paul Cooper, 3. Noah Passell
Class B: 1. Graham Edwards, 2. Doug & Noah, 3. Andy & Rebecca

4. Official Souvenir Fanzine. This 56-page pdf fanzine – complete with stage results, standings after each stage, pictures, reports and a smattering of articles – is available to download now from this post: h
ttps://slotracer.online/community/showthread.php?tid=1853&pid=14848#pid14848
The fanzine is a nice way of remembering the event and also has information and tips about getting involved in future UK proxy and slot rally events. If you see any photographs in the fanzine (or on this thread) you’d like a copy of, just ask. Clive and me both have the picture of his Alpine on the hillclimb as wallpaper on our respective iPads and desktop PC.
5. Index page for this thread. If you go to the
opening post of this thread, you’ll see that there are links to all the stages, all the results, the sign-up & info thread, each of the News Briefings and to the videos of the stages that were streamed live. If you want to navigate your way around the Rally-Sprint report thread, that will make it a lot easier! This is what it looks like....

7. WHO Winter Rally-Sprint 2022. Yes, the Rally-Sprint will be back next January & February. We’ve really enjoyed ourselves and learned so much from the past seven weeks. Expect a bigger and better event next year without quite so many gaps. The provisional dates are Wednesday 19 January to Sunday 27 February. Cars will be required at Rally-Sprint HQ by Sunday 16 January. There are more details
here and in the fanzine.

8. Before I sign off, I want to thank everyone for taking part in this event – it couldn’t have happened without you! A massive thanks goes to my fellow stage hosts – Jean, Oli and Simon – and to Stephen, who was part of the event planning team from the beginning. We are very grateful to Jadlam Toys & Models and to Gaugemaster, who both supported the Rally-Sprint with prizes and goodies – and to Jason and the team at SlotRacer for providing this wonderful space to host the coverage… and for some cool SlotRacer Proxy stickers.
However, probably the biggest thanks should go to the Wye Valley club members who organised and ran two proxy slot rally events last year. When Simon suggested we look at some 1:32 scale proxy racing to go alongside our HO drag events, the Wye Valley format was a perfect fit and quickly became the basis for the WHO Winter Rally-Sprint. It was an honour to have Alan, Phil, Phil and Sebastian sending cars to take part in our event. Cheers!
And that’s a wrap on the WHO Winter Rally-Sprint 2021

The WHO Winter Rally-Sprint will not take place in January / February 2022.
Sorry for those who were looking forward to some more proxy slot rally fun, but the event doesn't fit with the club's focus of getting back to racing next spring - after what will be a 24-month lay-off. There's a lot of work involved with the proxy and - with all the preparation for the club's return - we felt we wouldn't do it justice.
A condensed Rally-Sprint format is something we'll keep on the back-burner - either as a two-venue weekend proxy event or as a hands-on event at the Barn. Last year's experience was too much fun to leave as a one-off. Plus we hope to get a WHO contingent to any future slot rally events in Wales, Oxford and elsewhere.
For HO proxy drag racers, the races scheduled for January and March will continue as planned - so no worries there
