The fact those nylon pinions look perfect even at this late stage in the proxy is testament to how good they are..  and they run so much quieter too.

I was speaking to Andy last night after he watched the car reviews video and he said his Lamborghini had the rear wing and rear details fitted when the car was sent.

Yes I thought it was, I will check the box, to see if the grill bits have fallen out in it.
I have the rear wing.

Thanks for the reviews!  I especially appreciated the chance to see the difference between setups of my Texas Viper and Brumos RSR's Viper.

The yellow dot is my way of signifying rubber shore rating within a brand.  In this case the yellow signifies soft, which is the G25 compound.

Oh... and like many others, I started with a wing, and both mirrors. In my case the wing is decorated with my Club's logo. (Austin Slot Car Club) Such is racing!

I know there's quite a few people like to know what's going on with other cars and it's nice to sit down and give them all a good close look at.

It's surprising what you find, I've bought some cars on the back of these proxies because they were much better than I expected.

Some of the biggest nice surprises have come from old basic cars that you guys have resurrected and was the reason I decided to join in with the modified standard cars.
This time round I was impressed by the Scaley Sauber Merc which I do have one of but done nothing with it.
Another was the Fly Joest Porsche, again another I've got but never tried with the standard chassis.

Predator motors were an eye opener and I've since fitted quite a few in various cars.
This proxy has shone a light on another motor gem in the NSR Spanish King, I'll have to get some.

The Revoslot tweeks are good to see as for some reason they're a bit of a marmite car but it's obvious they can be made to drive beautifully and they're just as quick as most pro cars.

Wavegreen Good Morning

And so onto the FINAL Round of the proxy  Checkeredflag Checkeredflag Checkeredflag Checkeredflag Checkeredflag Checkeredflag Checkeredflag

The cars are now heading to the guys at the Lumb Valley track to make the deciding run of the Championship.

It is a plastic Carrera track, the hosts are from the original East lancs Club, and they are quite impartial as they have not entered any cars themselves.

As it's been a few weeks since the previous round I have tested all the cars are running on my rolling road set up.
I also took the opportunity to measure the running RPM of all the cars at 12v, I will post the measurements after we have finished the series.

The cars have arrived safely, so hopefully the final Round 8 will be run over the weekend.

The final round 8 results have been received, and will be posted tomorrow morning.
On first glance they look very interesting…..say no more

RE: Global GT Challenge Proxy - Official Results - Kevan - 10th-Aug-25

I've been fully expecting 'very interesting'...

RE: Global GT Challenge Proxy - Official Results - Graham - 11th-Aug-25

Having checked the results, there was a few Finish position anomalies I noticed with cars in the Procar group, whilst still  important these anomalies were for lower placed cars which are not effecting the leading cars positions. So I am conferring with the host that these corrections are valid.

Also hoping that the host has time to do the customary Round podium positions to go with the results.

However I can confirm that we do have outright winners for all the Championship Classes in the 3 Groups.
