RE: Rally Cars Slotting Proxy 2023 - Kevan - 7th-Mar-23

Hi Graham, I've sent a message about the event and class results.

Each event has four classes so the results should be:

Event 1        Event 2        Event 3        Event 4
Class A        Class A        Class A        Class A
Class B        Class B        Class B        Class B
Class C        Class C        Class C        Class C
Class D        Class D        Class D       Class D

As each event has cars to different rule specifications you can't compare all the Class A cars, all the Class B cars etc.

There should be up to four class winners in each event.

Looking at the entry list there are four event winners and nine class winners.

This has been all been thoroughly debated before, not only does each Event have different permitted classes, but there are too few cars in the Events to give away a prize which could be for only one car entering.

RE: Rally Cars Slotting Proxy 2023 - Graham - 7th-Mar-23

Just to clarify again the Awards aspect of this series

Awards for each Event (1st,2nd & 3rd)
Award for each of the 3 main Car construction classes A,B & C (1st place only). The one Class D car cannot race itself so will be awarded points as a Class B car.
Award for best Overall Team, this is made up from the points allocated from both Events & Classes (1st place only)
Award for best presented Car

Sorry, but I also agree with Kevan.

There doesn't need to be any separate prizes for each class, A, B, C and D, in each event. However given the different rules it seems strange to put all class A entries in together, rather than by their event category?

If prizes are in short supply I'm sure we can gather a few extra between us.

I'll have a word with Andy and see what we can add to the pot.  Thumbup

I am sorry but don't agree with your interpretation, the differences between tyre widths etc are relatively small, yes the cars are different from the era point of view, so have physical width restrictions. But there is the same diversity of motor types and orientation across all the Events.
The choice of cars entered is entirely up to the entrant, and we have no idea until they are entered as to what the mixture of different Car construction Classes will be.

So there will be no change in the award system used.

RE: Rally Cars Slotting Proxy 2023 - Savage GT - 7th-Mar-23

The scoring is beyond me, that is why I just enter and let Graham decide how it works  Rofl

I am pleasantly surprised to have gotten off to such a good start, what with not being overly familiar with rally tracks, and rushing together my entries due to lack of time (mostly self inflicted). I expect my lack of prep and testing will bite me in the backside soon enough, but it at least started well, so currently a happy bunny Sun
