RE: Extreme Slotting -

Ok, the Harlequin Guys have moved aside the Le Mans props and set up a rather nice Extreme Slotting challenge track. It is based on a NInco layoit with 2 loops at each end, so a full lap is travelling both directions along the route.
All the cars had a dry run this morning, but that was without obstacles, tomorrow there will be a mini landslide in the vicinity of the S-Bends, so perhaps that will make like abit more difficult
Here are the photos of the layout

This is the turning point for the vehicles before the S-Bends

S-Bends - could be a landslide here tomorrow

Looking good ?..
Let’s see if this suits the Nino cars ?

I'm kinda hoping it will suit my SCX Stormrider and Mitoos I-Pace the best

Good looking layout Graham
I'm hoping it will suit a rather battered looking Fiesta XR2i, it only needs to make up about 15 laps on the Anglia
Have fun tomorrow.

Hi, after a slow start due to sorting out domestic issues, I am now underway
Here are the Class A Results

Here is Class B results

Here is Class C results
[attachment=18514]
A difficult run for one of the Lancers, resulting in it loosing the front panel

Hit those rocks too many times
[attachment=18515]
So the car was retired on the last run.
I am saving the "best class" until tomorrow morning, and we will announce the competition winners later in the day

Think that means that Phil has won the class. Second for me, my best ever proxy result! One and a half laps between 1&2 over all the stages well done Phil!

Good morning,
well the last class has been run
First here is a couple of photos of the rock fall arears that all the cars from the 4 classes had to get around
But believe me it could have been much worst

And so to the podium winners, but just one more thing to do
Actually what is the best Extreme Slotting Vehicle for extreme environments, only one way to find out
RE: Extreme Slotting -

So for the final challenge I ran the 3 Class winners cars for 10 laps (and my own Stormrider and I-Pace) with the additional obstacles in place, against the clock for the fastest lap . I did not run Bernie's Panda as it just would not cope this gauntlet of obstacles

The result was:
1st place - SCX Stormrider (13.05 secs)
2nd place - Mitoos I-Pace ( 13.13 secs)
3rd place - Ninco- Mike Scott's Nemesis (13.34 secs)
4th place - SCX - Paul Cooper's Touareg (14.05 secs)
5th place - Ninco- Phil Field's Mtsubishi (14.20 secs)
6th place - Avant - Jim Scott's Mitsubishi ( 14.82 secs)
