*Sits on edge of seat; Awaits inevitable plummet down the leaderboard...*

RE: WHO Winter Rally-Sprint Proxy 2021 REPORT - woodcote - 4th-Mar-21

The leaderboard won't be sorted 'officially' until this evening. But I can say that today's performances weren't dissimilar to Stage 1. The running order was reversed, so those that went in cold last time had me nicely warmed up today...

Rebecca has kindly recorded all the times and ranked Class C in order...

1. Alan W - 84.66
2. Andy - 85.78
3. Sebastian - 87.43
4. Phil B - 87.75
5. Alan B - 89.87
6. Phil F - 91.95
7. Leo - 92.23
8. Graham - 92.79
9. Craig - 92.91
10. Kevin - 97.39
11. Steve - 99.03
12. Duncan - 100.6
13. David - 100.9
14. Rebecca - 103.6
15. Paul - 108.2
16. Dylan - 110.3
17. Doug - 110.6
18. Clive - 112.4
19. Ade - 112.6
20. Noah - 114.8
21. Simon K - 115.6
22. Gill - 135.8
23. Simon C - 138.5
24. Mike - 144.2
25. Pete & Jerome - 144.3

The same podium as Stage 1, just a slightly different order...

From those results, it looks like the lead at the top of the standings will be almost the same... the only difference is first and second places have swapped...

Yes just as I feared, my guys don't like the rough stuff much, and probably the slippery stuff even less.

We have a new leader! Phil takes a 2.74 second advantage into the final stage on Sunday morning. Sebastian has closed in to just 2.86 seconds of third spot... there'll be a Birchmore on the podium, but which one?

The top three in Class A are Graham, Noah and Dylan - Rebecca is 5 seconds behind Dylan in fourth. Graham is also leading Class B, Andy & Rebecca are second and David & Dylan have overtaken Clive for third - although the gap is only three quarters of a second. Noah is in pole position for the junior medal (18 seconds ahead of Dylan) and Rebecca is 0.69 of a second ahead of Gill in the battle for the Pat Moss Memorial Award.

I'll crunch a few more numbers tomorrow - and also edit together some clips to show you what a few of the cars are like over the Ninco off-road track. But that's it for today.

A great result for me
... but too little too late to undo the damage of some earlier disasterous stages.
Never mind, one last stage on Sunday then someone will be cracking the champagne and it'll all be over 'till the Great Road Race Checkeredflag

It has certainly been a race of ups and downs - putting together the fanzine has really brought that home. I hope everyone will take some good memories from the past six weeks... And there's still a lot to play for on Sunday!

RE: WHO Winter Rally-Sprint Proxy 2021 REPORT - Mazda - 5th-Mar-21

This has certainly been a brilliant event Andy, I have thoroughly enjoyed it as I hope the other competitors have. It has been a lot of work for the Racemasters but I hope they enjoyed playing with other peoples cars. I am looking forward to Sunday and the conclusion to the event. I hope there will be more of this type of proxy racing and I already have my entries in for the Brighton to John o’Groats race.
Good luck everyone for Sunday and thanks to the Racemasters for their dedication.

Thank you to the rally organiser and all the other hosts. It's been a fantastic learning experience for me, and an entertaining/painful watch!
