Global GT Challenge Review Round 6
General
So after the longest tracks with the previous Rounds, this time NERCS provided the shortesst track of the series, fast and free flowing it certainly suited many of the cars to battle together on all 4 lanes. But there was a few which obviously struggled to get up to speed.

Car inspections
The cars had arrived in good order without any repairs necessary, but there was some further loss of rear wings reported after the racing.

Statistics
Modified Standard
Laps Average 91, Std Dev 5 laps
Fastest Lap Average 4.8 sec, variation 0.08 sec

Revoslot
Laps Average 94.3, Std Dev 3.7 laps
Fastest Lap Average 4.6 sec, variation 0.01 sec

ProCar
Laps Average 95.4, Std Dev 6.5 laps
Fastest Lap Average 4.6 sec, variation 0.5 sec

At the NERCS track the average laps times were very similar between the Revoslots & the Procars, the Modified Standard cars were slightly slower.

RE: Global GT Challenge Proxy - Official Results - Kevan - 5th-Jul-25

The first Saturday of the month is our 'Saturday Scalextric Club' and the three of us spent a couple of hours working on and testing cars for the Targa Florio Proxy.

When all that was over I spent about 90 minutes setting up the heats for next weeks Proxy with 40 cars.

Doors will be open about 9am next Saturday, anyone is welcome to come along and help/watch as we'll be there until late afternoon.

Two webcams have been used for recording our racing for nearly two years so no race will be missed...that is unless we have a hard drive failure that Mike had during the recording of the Touring Car Proxy  Tappingfoot

...but that's not going to happen (positive mental attitude  Thumbup )

-----------

I'll give the cars a close checkup during my usual car video review, there's always something spotted awry under the spotlight...let's hope not this time  Thumbup Thumbup

RE: Global GT Challenge Proxy - Official Results - AdeC - 7th-Jul-25

Thanks to all at NERCS for running the round.

That Porsche 956 of mine is baffling; I've never know a car be so good on plastic, and so shite on wood. Oh well, live and learn. Different tyres/prep next time me thinks.
