I love all cars that are rear-engined so got excited to see the title here.  Neat job, thanks for sharing.

I love rear engined cars, too! I have a '59 VW Beetle which runs great with its 1776 cc engine and dual Kadrons and a '57 VW Beetle that just needs for me to get busy re-assembling as everything has been restored. It has a 36 hp engine with a Judson supercharger. I'd love to have an Abarth!

Personally I find the Tucker Torpedo a beautiful car. Way ahead of its time in so many ways.
The Tucker movie, while it does have some artistic license shows how hard it was even back then to get a car company off the ground.

What I find sad/cynical is that the exact same method he used, i.e. getting people to put up capital for a product that doesn't exist yet is now the model for all new ventures.
I don't know if he was the first but he is probably one of the few that was taken to court over it.

He certainly isn't the last whose great ideas and products were crushed in courts.
