Here are the LED tail lights after being soldered together with their resistor in a wooden jig. The jig matches the holes drilled into the resin body shell.

That's a good idea

Thanks! Sometimes fitting the LEDs is a bit fiddly. What was done for this car was to fit each LED separately into the body shell, bending and trimming the leads to clear the tires, then putting them into the jig to solder. Before using RC56 aliphatic glue to secure them they were tested using a 12v source. The resistor allows for about 14v max if memory serves.

I stand corrected.? Carver is, of course, correct. I was only 9 at the time of Dan’s Daytona Intercontinental 3 Hour win. ?

I wonder if that is similar to Canopy Glue Formula 560 by Pacer?
Just seeing the 56 in common.

It's probably the same stuff. What I use dries clear and stays a bit rubbery.
This Lotus weighs 60 grams. The Carrera Superbird shown in the 'show your repaints' thread here weighs 115 grams. That's a heck of a difference!

My apologies, Carver and ARUP. Dan’s car was indeed a 19, not a 23. My excuse is that I was only 9 years old when Gurney won the first Daytona Intercontinental 3 Hour race.
