All fixed and running the way it should, thank goodness. 

My box of most needed 'go to' spares was just where I'd put it, right inside the doorway of my beginning-to-get-untidy-again room, covered by other 'need it right away' stuff!

The MSC pinion just slid off, to be replaced by a brass 9 tooth from the parts box using the trusty PSR pinion pusher.

THAT one's not going to come off in a hurry.

What are your thoughts on the PSR pinion pusher/puller? Did you have to tweak it to make it work correctly due to manufacturing faults?
