RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 30th-Aug-21

Wavegreen Good morning, time to finish the 1st Stage "Rutland Rout"

Just before I put the ramps and grass sections back in place, I thought I would show some photos of the track circuit as it was for the Ninco & scratchbuild runs, only difference being that with the Ninco vehicles I added a 2nd row of the Ninco obstacles (as shown)
Note the Scalextric Sport power straight pieces in place, must look out for a SCX replacement section on ebay.

As you can see I am running indoors, I would have liked to have run it outside but the surface was not even enough to make this possible this time around, would have made it impractical, I intend to get it replaced so might be able to do this better next year.

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 30th-Aug-21

Having put all the SCX ramps in place including the suspended bridge (after all this is the SCX Class) and additionally the 2 Ninco rocks sections  and 2 sections of artificial grass (Pictures to follow)

But here are the running results for Class B - SCX

A coffee break before the final Class is run. These vehicles will be run as for the SCX vehicles.

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 30th-Aug-21

Hi Guys,

yes unfortunately another long delay, just after lunch the Scalex Sport Track developed a gremlin due to the usual bad connections, so I had to take it out and and re- do the securing tabs at the back again.

And I must admit the Class C cars gave me much more of a challenge than I anticipated, that is apart from my Jaguar I-Pace which ran around at a leisurely "Pace"
All the others had issues like the Dakar Mini which was too low to get up the steep bridge, or the Avant trio I thought abit disappointing (especially as I have one myself)

The results

So time to pack up the cars for the next host, I will give the Official final positions for each class tomorrow mornin

Bye the way in case some of you had thought the SCX class was rather  lacking on the number of laps, by mistake I had set the timer on 2 minutes as apposed to the intended 3 mins set for the other classes. But the results stand as I don't propose to go through them again

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 30th-Aug-21

oh yes just remembered the photos of the modified track layout for the Class B & C vehicles

Wavegreen Hi Folks,

Here is the final results of the Extreme Slotting Stage 1 "Rutland Rout"

[attachment=17594]

The vehicles have been packed and will be sent onto Hereford for Stage 2 "Camel Hump", this is a Ninco track so we should see some different behaviour from the vehicles than on the SCX one

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 31st-Aug-21

Just to let you know that we did try to do a couple of demo videos yesterday, and managed about 30 secs before the Scalextric Sport track section failed again  Tappingfoot

So we decided to call it a day.
