RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 29th-Aug-21

Wavegreen Hello everyone, well yes the problem was the piece of SCX power track, so a short piece of Scalextric Sport track is now in place and abit of calm has descended at the Harlequin garage. Had a couple of connection issues with the added pieces of track, but then that's expected with Scalex Sport track.

So unfortunately my video Camera women is not available as she is doing more important things like cooking my dinner, and frankly she was not overly happy after yesterday's fiasco . But maybe this afternoon we might persuade her later

But anyway I have run the Class D vehicles first as they have the fewest obstacles on the track

[attachment=17472]

The Mitsubishi ran without 4WD
The Fiesta made about 3 laps unassisted, but then needed help over the flexi bridge every time around
The Datsun' s drop arm restrainer (specially designed and patented by OXO) broke, I had already re-glued both ends of back in place on practise session. But this time it broke in the middle .
And it lost a wheel on the last record breaking run
The police car was very consistent, and always struggled over the steep bridge, but otherwise quite well

I am having a break before I put in place the additional obstacles for the Ninco vehicles Sun

Did my car win a thing?! Or did the Datsun do 17 laps, can’t quite read the number? Fingers crossed the other classes play nicely for you Graham, well done for sticking at it, it’s appreciated.  Thumbup

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 29th-Aug-21

Hi Mike,
yes yours achieved the fastest single lap, I though the Datsun could have been the fastest on the last run but the front wheel came off  Wrench

RE: Extreme Slotting - OXO cube - 29th-Aug-21

how does the song go ?

'three wheels on my wagon ' Tappingfoot

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 29th-Aug-21

OXO It did run most of the circuit with 3 wheels but was getting caught up on the flexi bridge, so I had to stop and put it back on. But I was just getting into the groove with the Datsun, just had to be more cautious to prevent the drop guide from Jack Knifing. The restraining device broke on the 1st run.

I am going to resume running after the F1 GP on TV, but will finish today now that the track is behaving. Mind you it depends on how long it takes to run the GP

RE: Extreme Slotting - Graham - 29th-Aug-21

Wavegreen Hi Folks, wasn't the GP exiting  Rofl

Anyway halway through watching the rain I started experimenting with my grass track pieces in the hope of fitting it into the Nino Class run, but after much cutting and swearing, I had to admit defeat and settle for 2 straights with Ninco obstacles in.

Suddenly realised what time it is, so I am going to run the last 2 classes tomorrow
