Scalextric Batmobile Scalextric have released their new Batmobile this week. One of the most famous TV and film cars of all time, this particular version of the Batmobile comes from the 1989 film Batman.

Scaleauto Mercedes AMG GT3, and Audi R8 LMS

Scaleauto Mercedes AMG GT3 & Audi R8 LMS After last week’s multiple additions to the RS Supersport range, Scaleauto have also now added a Mercedes AMG GT3 and two Audi R8 LMS. All three cars took part in the 24 hours of Nürburgring. The #75 Mercedes was driven to sixth place in 2016 by Sebastian Asch, Kenneth Heyer, Daniel Keilwitz & Luca Ludwig. The #29 Audi took seventh place in 2015 driven by Nicki Thiim, Christer Jöns, & Pierre Kaffer, and the #4 Audi was a non finisher in the hands of Marc Basseng, Marcel Fässler, Mike Rockenfeller, & Frank Stippler, also in 2015.

Revoslot Datsun 510 Revoslot have unveiled three new liveries for the Datsun 510, which are pencilled in for an August release. Details on the liveries are not yet available, though I believe the #95 is a Paul Newman car, and #68 could be Bob Sharp or Peter Gregg.

Policar Ferrari 312B2 Both Dave Kennedy and Slot Cars Passion have reported that the release of the new Policar Ferrari 312B2 is imminent. The model recreates the car driven to sixth place by Arturo Merzario in the 1972 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.

Investment

Invest in SRC SRC have launched an ambitious project to raise €2M, equivalent to 30% share capital of the company. The project is being launched through Fellow Funders a Spanish platform for Equity Crowdfunding or Crowdfunding Investment. The aims is to help SRC to innovate and develop unique models and components, extend the company’s presence to Europe, the USA, and Asia, lead the slot car industry’s transformation with advanced digital strategies, create a pioneering concept in Alicante (Spain) that combines entertainment and competition, manufacture high-quality competition tracks, and serve as a bridge between clubs and enthusiasts.
