everything runs fine for about 5 minutes then both cars stall at the same moment. after a couple of seconds they restart, again at the same moment. race continues for a bit then they stall again, intermittently, repeatedly, in tandem.

if we stop and let the track rest for some time, the pattern starts over again. tracks and braids cleaned, connections inspected, all appears well.

I intend to widen most of the track with foam and also make a start at some landscaping.  Here's a rough photo of my current 1/43 layout.

Valentino Rossi's final MotoGP race was a good excuse to get the SCX Compact bikes out. Compact track and cars are 1:43 scale, but the MotoGP bikes are about 1:24 scale. These bikes need the rough track surface of the SCX track - Carrera Go isn't as good.

I have a Carrera GoPlus track. I have just upgraded it actually from Carrera Go to Go Plus. I have even bought the wireless controllers from Amazon last week, when me and my son decided we want to play again with this.
So, my issue is that the car from the blue lane is going by itself on the track, as soon as I put it there. I have programned the wireless remote like the manual says, I have downloaded the Carrera app for more fun and I have paired the phone with the track, but the car is still going at full speed by itself on the blue lane. The red lane works perfectly well. Do you have any suggestions?

found slide bearings for 2mm axles on aliexpress - had to try them. 

best combination are slot.it axles and the bearings with the flange. all other do not offer good axle play. 
jedelloh axles should work with a little sanding, too. 

chassis in the pictures offers the possibility to unmount the fully rear axle. 
in combination with a tire trueing machine the perfect way to get round tires!]]>

the power supply: each lane has a seperate adjustable powersupply, 1.25 to 19V @ 3 Amp available
the timing: IR light bridge and laptimer 2000
the controllers: available controllers: 90/75/60 ohm parma eco, 45/35/25 Parma eco, 25/18/13 parma eco, 15/11/8 parma eco, I will choose the controller where the car is driveable as its best during the practice laps.
entry fee: 15 Euro (is used for return shipping of car)

Rules:
1) car must be approximately 1/43rd
2) max. width 50.8mm
3) no fluid may leak out, no grease, oil or braid juice may pollute the track, no tire glue or similar
4) teams may ask for a special voltage where the car should be run.
the standard racing voltage depends on the motor. I will run all cars @ 12V, SCX and Carrera motors @15V, Kyosho@16V, KyoshoX@13V. 
5) car must have a body that looks like a car, race look prefered, but not necessary
6) no silicone tires, rubber and PU are fine 
7) no pin guides (like carrera or artin)
8) all tires have to touch the track
9) cars must run 20 qualitfication laps on lane 1 prior to the race. Cars must get a fastest lap in this heat under 11 seconds to qualify for the race. Please don´t worry about this rules, stock SCX or Kyosho cars can do it easily. Only the fastest 20 cars from the qualifying will run the race. qualifying times will be posted with the race times.
10) shipping box must be suitable for return shipping 

BARC - Challenge
The BARC - Challenge is eligible for all cars with BARC motor. The challenge will run during the ProNoMag, but the cars will get a seperate  valuation. The BARC cars are eligible for the regular ProNoMag valuation as well.

The 2020 1/43 Little Monte Carlo Rally has started!
 
For the last 2 days I have been having fun playing with toy cars on my slot track!
 
Oops, should read: For or the last 2 days I have been working hard at comparing the performances of 16 miniature works of art on a gruelling mountain circuit!

As always on 1/43 proxies, the standard of build and preparation is high, with every car having something to offer. I will give a full description and comments about each car when I do the final write up after the timed runs are complete.
 
The final timed runs will be tomorrow, as the weather forecast is not good after then.
 
As it stands, 9 cars are in the running for the fastest lap, but that will be whittled down to the final 3 during the day and then I will announce the winner!
 
Who will the winner be? Wait and see!
 
For those who Zoom, we will be talking about the results tomorrow evening, but I will publish the results before then!
