ON SUNDAY THE EVENT IS FOR POST-1995 SPORTS CARS

Held on the Mega Monsta track at Corby on weekend of 22nd/23rd August 2026

You do NOT have to be a BSCRA member to enter.

We have received an offer of additional sponsorship from
Scalextric and we are pleased to announce that there will be racing in a sub-category for Scalextric Cars only, there will be classification and specific prizes for anyone using a Scalextric car that fits the racing class.
This car can be modified as follows:
Replacement of guide and braid with deep guide for wood track and
any braid according to personal preference.
Replacement of and truing of front and rear tyres
Gluing In of the motor and rear axle bearings
Replacement of Interior with lightweight version which must have driver detail and must be painted.
Ballast may be added to the upper side of the chassis.
No modifications to the chassis, motor or gears are allowed.
(This includes the guide holder which must remain original)
NOTE: Drivers may enter this sub-category as well as the main overall category using a different car. Two entries will be necessary for this to be allowed.
Because there is a qualifying system for the heats it is likely that the majority of Scalextric cars will race together in heats.
If you choose to enter twice – simply apply again and indicate that you do not wish to race in F1 as there is no Scalextric F1 category!!
Scalextric plan to support next year’s event from a position of strength after a year of development of their brand, but for now this will be a great way of demonstrating how good hard-body cars can be and what the standard is at top level.

Please note , this is not my event although I am supporting it, please don't ask me questions.

Three classes starting with a F1 Sprint race of 1 minute heats.

Followed by Saloon of 2 minute heats

Then finally Sports / GT with 3 minute heats.

It would help with the organisation if you intend to participate or are interested to let me know.

This Sunday is the annual Weevilsslotcars Swap meet.

Looks like a near sell out of traders and should be busy.

I haven't done a swap meet in a while as a stall holder,  but have booked a table this time around.

I have an interesting selection of boxed cars, all new or test laps only.
Also some very nice SCX Rally track that is looking for a nice new home.
3 x boxed Super Sliding sets, one unboxed Super Sliding set, and the SCX Rally Chrono set, boxed and perfect condition.

If your in the area,  or even further afield,  come on down......

Wivelsfield Village Hall
Eastern Road
Wivelsfield
East Sussex
RH17 7QG

Doors open at 10.30

Weevilsslotcars will also have their shop open, just a mile up the road, and will have a Weevils Limited Edition Car available.

Come and say hello if your attending!

The Slot Rally GB Championship is back following two very successful years after its re-launch. Last season saw the series concentrate on the south and west of the UK, which carries over to 2026...

  • Sunday 15 February - Oxford Scalextric Club, Ramsden Memorial Hall, Ramsden, OX7 3AU
  • Sunday 24 May - Farnborough Park Scalextric Club, St. Peter’s School, 60 Church Avenue, Farnborough, GU14 7AP
  • Sunday 7 June - St Albans Slot Car Club, Margaret Wix Primary School, High Oaks, St Albans AL3 6EL
  • Saturday 18 July - Worthing HO Racing, English Martyrs Catholic Church Hall, Goring Way, Goring-By-Sea, BN12 4UE
  • Sunday 27 September - Abergavenny Slot Rally Club, Abergavenny Community Centre, Merthyr Road, Abergavenny NP7 5BY
The championship consists of five rounds, the best four to count for drivers registered for championship points - the registration fee is £5 per driver for the season. Event entry is £5 per car for up to four cars and a maximum of two in any class.

The events will run to national slot rally rules, 2026 championship rules and regs can be found below. All SRGB 2025  cars will remain eligible for 2026 with no modifications needed. Any rule changes largely relate to clarification regarding new products.

There will be a Targa Florio class for 2026, running as a fourth main class. This has replaced the Avant Slot Challenge, but these cars remain eligible in the main 80/90s class.]]>
