Cars bought by members in 2020
#21

It seems I have found 2 more paint projects:

As per my current fixation with wheel sizes, this is an odd one.
As far as I can determine, the race cars ran 16" wheels front and rear.
Sideways have provided these with 15.8 fronts and 17.2 rears  Banghead
As it happens, the way Sideways make the inserts, the fronts are scale 16" but with too low profile tyres.
A "by eye" comparison with pics of the real cars says the front arches need a little less meat up top (easy enough to do).
I may just keep them and the wheels as is, we will see.
But the paint jobs have been mocked up and work will soon begin designing the decal sheets.  Sun

Savage GTOne half of my DTM/ITC pairing arrived late yesterday.
These will be for home use, so the plan is to replace the wheels with more scale accurate diameter ones (hopefully utilising the stock inserts).
Slip on some good urethane's at the rear, add bit of chassis weight where needed and she should be good to go.
I have to say the tampo printing at some edges isn't as crisp as I have come to expect of Slot. It, but I can live with it  Bigsmile

I have this beauty as well, handling improved out of sight with loosened body and pod screws. Body screws very loose.also has mjk urethane tyres glued and trued, and fronts glued and nail polish for zero grip

A short review will follow at some point. Plus there are a couple more 1/32 scale lockdown purchases to catch up with here.
